Baking with Grandmas is the best!!!
My fondest memories growing up are baking with my southern grandma (maw maw). She also used to hand sew bonnets and aprons for the glass Mrs. Buttersworth syrup bottles.
What a lovely memory to have, baking with grandma. I have never heard of king cake, but it sure looks yummy. Thank you for dropping by my ‘This Moment’. Have the loveliest weekend. Jacinta
King Cake is a pastry associated with Mardi Gras. We cheated a bit and used Pillsbury’s dough – from the can.
That cake looks fantastic!
Thanks. It didn’t last long in the house. Now we’re prepping for Pi day (3.14)…sweet and savory pies.
