Delights of multigenerational living: October 2010

Multigenerational PERK list for October 2010

Kanesha’s Nest

I found this great used bookstore and bought way too many books. (Well, can you really have too many books?) My mother-in-law and son were enjoying a cuddle and some story time.

Hubby was on work travel and I was running around like a mad woman – getting the kids ready and trying to get out of the house. Luckily, my mother-in-law took the kids to school that day.

When I finally got down to the kitchen, coffee was waiting. YES! Things had gone smoothly downstairs with my mother-in-law making breakfast for the kids. My son stacked the felted bracelets my mother-in-law had knitted; he was trying to make the Eiffel Tower while my daughter read the comics to him.

And some more breakfast goodies…

My mother-in-law was trying to get rid of some leftovers in the frig, so she made butternut squash biscuits. They were fantastic and easy to eat in the car.
